Held once again on 19-21 April 2022: following a two-year break due to Corona, the third Lahr JobXpedition was held at Druckhaus Kaufmann. As part of the so-called ‘Apprenticeship Safari’, pupils were able to get a taste of the apprenticeship professions of eleven companies from the Lahr region participating in the three-day event. The regional press reported extensively. The young people were each allowed to name their preferred company and were also assigned two others. Druckhaus Kaufmann was once again highly popular with the up-and-comers this year and took pole position with the naming of preferred companies.

Although the virus has not yet disappeared, the organiser of JobXpedition, the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Lahrer Mittelständischen Industrieunternehmen [working group of mid-sized industrial companies from Lahr] dared to make a new attempt this year. The training safari gathered pace and took place over three days instead of the previous four days.

The past two Corona years have left their mark on many companies in the region. “For a long time internships and vocational explorations weren’t possible at all, or only to a limited extent,” Markus Kaufmann, Managing Partner of Druckhaus Kaufmann, informs. “At Druckhaus Kaufmann, as at other companies, many apprenticeship spots for this year haven’t yet been filled. It’s therefore all the more pleasing that JobXpedition could finally be held again, thus giving young people the opportunity to get to know the diverse training opportunities we offer. We look forward to receiving lots of applications.”

Druckhaus Kaufmann offers apprenticeships for the professions media clerk (m/f/d), media designer digital and print (m/f/d), media technologist print (m/f/d), media technologist print processing (m/f/d) and mechatronics engineer (m/f/d). The next training commences in September 2022.
